This handy little item is of Tim's own design and construction. Modeled after the large hat stretchers, this one is revised in that the degree of taper is 10 degrees versus 4 degrees on the big models. This is more appropriate for use in hats with the sweatband installed. The narrow thickness, and the taper allow for pressure to be applied where it belongs, where the sweatband is stitched to the hat, without warping the crown and sweatband out of shape. A wise investment to protect your hats, both as a stretcher, or to retain sizing when putting a hat away wet.
